Founded in 1987 by Pam Calvert, winner of the Entrepreneur of the Year and PR Professional of the Year, Communications Management developed to become a specialist PR consultancy engaged in social and economic issues. We're celebrating our 25th anniverary this year.
In recent years and following a growth in our business in the education field, the company has evolved as a leading strategic communications and reputation management consultancy dedicated specifically to education and skills. We have been awarded Gold and Silver medals in the PR industry's Best Places to Work guide and numerous awards for our campaigns.
We're committed to the education world – through our many CSR activities, encouraging employee volunteering and advisory roles (for example as school governors) and through our sponsorship of education awards and schemes. This year we have formed two new charity partnerships providing pro bono communications advice and PR support to social mobility charity, The Transformation Trust and educational charity Villiers Park Educational Trust.
Justin Shaw, Managing Director since 2011, joined Communications Management in 1994 after an in-house communications role in higher education and in education journalism.
