Health

Our Health Practice works with NHS teams to develop and help deliver communications and stakeholder engagement strategies and with businesses that sell products and services to the NHS to increase sales.

We work with NHS hospital, ambulance, mental health, specialist and Foundation Trusts, Primary Care Trusts, Strategic Health Authorities, professional services, IT companies and private healthcare providers.

Our consultants have a sound understanding of the NHS and its culture gained from significant senior level first-hand experience.

Stakeholders

We help our health clients to engage and influence:

  • patients and the public
  • clinicians and other health care staff
  • NHS Board members
  • decision makers in local and national government
  • business partners
  • national and regional media.

Issues

We help our clients to address the following issues:

  • Engaging stakeholders in decisions about future healthcare provision, helping to gain community support for changes in service provision, particularly when there are controversial elements to be communicated.
  • Positioning NHS trusts to ensure they are the provider of choice for the local population in an increasingly competitive NHS healthcare marketplace.
  • Supporting Foundation Trusts to develop robust marketing plans and ensure effective recruitment of membership from the local community.
  • Enabling NHS organisations to develop effective partnerships in both the public and private sectors to work together to improve the health of the local population.
  • Helping businesses to raise their profile with their NHS customers to increase sales of products and services.

As a new organisation, NHS Walsall Community Health needed to communicate effectively with its staff and the local community. Communications Management came in and hit the ground running. Their initial audit work showed us where our priorities should lie and they have more than delivered against our communication plans. They are always there with strategic communications advice when we need them.
